Onsite Education
Onsite education is carried out using the Pragmatic Empowerment Training (PET) methodology and content.
The aims of this education are as given in that section, namely to empower people to assist one another and thus to increase capacity, to provide supervision, to provide destigmatization, and to provide therapy that is not stigmatized.
At present, in general, we carry out onsite education within roughly 100 km of Vukovar.
In general, we work with each group for roughly two hours per week. We adapt this to the needs and desires of the specific group. However, we find that two hours, with a break of about 15 minutes, is about the maximum that most people can handle.
We have worked with virtually every demographic group present in the region. We do not discriminate on the basis of ethnicity, age, gender, occupation, psychological and/or physical challenge, type of traumatization, etc.
We limit group size to 12. We would rather have several smaller groups than one large one, as this allows for more discussion and practice.
We also are prepared to hold more concentrated training sessions, that is, for a number of days in a row for a number of hours per day.
For regions outside of our immediate vicinity, we ask you to look at the sections on online education and blended education for further possibilities.
In general, we do not charge for this training. However, contributions are gratefully accepted, particularly to cover costs of fuel and other resources.
Please contact us if you wish to have a course. Details and a contact form are on the Contact Us page of the About Us section.
