​Udruga Koalicija za rad sa psihotraumom i za mir Vukovar je osnovana 2018. godine. Udruga  je nastala na iskustvima i uz potporu Nizozemske organizacije koja u Hrvatskoj djeluje od 1995. godine.  Njezin suosnivač i predsjednik je Charles David Tauber, koji je među prvima u Hrvatskoj koristio metode lej terapeuta/peer podrške.

U svom radu bavimo se destigmatizacijom mentalnog zdravlja Smatramo da mentalno zdravlje nije samo prisustvo ili izostanak bolesti. Ono uključuje i osjećaj blagostanja i doživljaj pozitivnih emocija: riječ je o nama, našim životima, poslu, odnosima, tjelesnome zdravlju i društvenome okruženju.

Rat, progonstvo, smrt bliske osobe, nezaposlenost, potres kao i globalna pandemija sve su to stresori i kompleksne traumatske situacije. 
U svome radu bavimo se reakcijama na traumatske događaje.

Charles David Tauber

​Dr. Charles David Tauber je odrastao u obitelji migranata u New Yorku. Radio je u pokretima za društvene promjene još od 1966. Nakon diplomiranja na medicinskom fakultetu u Nizozemskoj, počeo je raditi sa tražiteljima azila i izbjeglicama. Zajedno sa drugim liječnicima liječio je azilante kada drugi liječnici to nisu htjeli. Također se bavio podučavanjem i pružanjem psihološke supervizije volonterima i članovima timova drugih organizacija koje su također radile sa tražiteljima azila.

​Kada je započeo rat u Jugoslaviji ranih ’90-ih, nekoliko članova je formiralo radnu skupinu iz koje se izrodila Koalicija za rad sa psihotraumom i za mir. Tauber je predsjednik i suosnivač Koalicije i radi na ovom području od lipnja 1995. godine.
